SCUBA Diving
"SCUBA" is an acronym that stands for "Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus". Scuba diving involves the use of equipment to allow divers to swim deeper and stay submerged for a long period of time. Scuba diving is a recreation enjoyed by many around the world.
Requirements
To scuba dive, you need to have a certified diver/instructor take you along for safety reasons. There are dangers to scuba diving you should be aware of since the risks are very real. To scuba dive on your own, you will need an Open Water certification issued by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). PADI certifications are accepted worldwide and are life-time certifications. The requirements for this certification is to be 10 years old and comfortable in water. I think the latter means you should be able to swim.
